Lon­don rap­per & pro­du­cer duo Phoenix da Ice­fire and Husky Brown released their ground­break­ing new album “Pan­acea” through New Dawn Records on May 5th
Nom­in­ated for “Best Inde­pend­ent Album” at this year’s pres­ti­gi­ous AIM Awards tak­ing place on August 12th ( https://www.aimawards.co.uk/nom­in­ees ), Husky’s rare fusion of hip hop, elec­tro, bass, dub, soul and r&b is the soundtrack for Phoenix’s highly cre­at­ive nar­rat­ive address­ing many of today’s most press­ing issues includ­ing cli­mate change, racism, well being, men­tal health, knife crime and social aspir­a­tion, all delivered with a refresh­ing and optim­ist­ic coun­ter­point of hope, heal­ing and reconciliation.
The first video from the album “The Humans are Com­ing” released today.  Filmed by Glob­al Fac­tion and UKHH, the spec­tac­u­lar visu­als edited by Sov­er­eign Com­ics rep­res­ent the envir­on­ment­al theme por­trayed as a meta­phor­ic­al let­ter of con­tri­tion to the myth­ic­al Gaia for the dam­age done to her realm.
