NEW MUSIC | SOUL TO SPEAK — PHILOSOPHY PODIUM VOLUME 2

Soul To Speak is a transcontinental Hip Hop duo bridging the pulse of London with the soul of Kampala. Composed of lyricist Watusi87 and producer DJ Maintain, the group crafts music that’s as intellectually charged as it is emotionally resonant.

Their debut album, Philosophy Podium, is a bold manifesto—an unapologetic blend of poetic defiance, sonic depth, and cultural commentary. Watusi87 delivers verses that mix bravado with vulnerability, weaving narratives that challenge systems while celebrating identity. His lyrical style is rooted in the tradition of Hip Hop as a social movement, giving voice to the unheard and spotlighting the overlooked.

DJ Maintain, known for his emotionally evocative production, builds soundscapes that elevate Watusi’s words—layering soul, jazz, and boom bap into beats that feel both timeless and urgent.

Together, Soul To Speak is more than a musical act—they’re a philosophy in motion. Whether performing in intimate venues or releasing visuals that amplify their message, Soul To Speak stands as a testament to Hip Hop’s power to transcend borders and ignite minds. Their artistry is a dialogue—raw, rhythmic, and ready to resonate.

On 8 May 2026 Soul To Speak proudly announce the release of their Sophomore album Philosophy Podium Volume Two, a genre-defying project that fuses raw lyricism, soulful production, and radical thought.

Born from the cultural crossroads of London and Kampala, Soul To Speak is more than a musical act it’s a movement, one that is continued in their new project.  Now a series, Philosophy Podium is a sonic declaration of independence, blending boom bap, jazz, and Afrocentric rhythms with sharp social commentary and poetic introspection.

Their work echoes the ethos behind their rallying cry: “We don’t need them, they need us.” This mantra echoes throughout the project, challenging industry norms and amplifying voices often left unheard. Watusi87’s verses are both cerebral and visceral, while DJ Maintain’s production creates immersive landscapes that elevate each track into a statement.

Soul To Speak are celebrating the release with a series of live performances and visual drops, bringing the philosophy behind the podium to life.
