NEW MUSIC | CASSCADE AND RAJ FOREVER CREATING CRAZY SCENES WITH NEW SINGLE

North West LDN rap­per and cre­at­ive Cas­scade returns with his new single ‘Crazy Scenes’, this time team­ing up with the hotly tipped artist/producer Raj Forever. Out 23^rd Octo­ber, ‘Crazy Scenes’ was pro­duced by the pro­lif­ic Amer­ic­an pro­du­cer Saint Car­dona (whose cred­its include; Young M.A, Octavi­an, Fivio For­eign and Mari­ah Angel­ica). With its access­ible drill-fla­voured beat, mixed with Casscade’s play­ful bars and melod­ic approach, there is some­thing genu­inely fresh about the track, as Raj Forever punc­tu­ates things with a mem­or­able chor­us hook, nail­ing down its radio friendly vibe and pos­it­ive mes­sage.

Lyr­ic­ally, Cas­scade takes the com­monly used phrase ‘Crazy Scenes’ as inspir­a­tion to build the track around an aspir­a­tion­al mes­sage. Look­ing back at the harsh envir­on­ments both artists grew up in, to where they are now Cas­scade explains: “The ‘I still hear the screams part’ in Raj’s hook just sig­ni­fies that although we may not par­tic­u­larly be in bad situ­ations any­more, they’ve left their scars. Nobody is per­fect and I think it’s always good to remem­ber where you came from.”

‘Crazy Scenes’ fol­lows Casscade’s pre­vi­ous single ‘Hurry Up & Buy’ which fea­tures the Gold-selling Ger­man artist Joshi Mizu. Released early this year it streamed 50K times in 8 weeks on Spo­ti­fy and was added to the ‘Auf Level’ playl­ist (the No.1 Ger­man hip hop playl­ist on Amazon Music) with fur­ther media sup­port com­ing from Back­spin Mag, Mix­tape Mad­ness, SBTV and Noc­tis Mag. Oth­er taste­m­aker sup­port for Cas­scade has come from 4x Grammy win­ning pro­du­cer Anthony Kil­hof­fer, who played ‘Fin­esse’ on his Ins­tagram live with DJ Sem­tex, which led to ‘Fin­esse’ being fea­tured on Semtex’s ‘5 Tracks You Need To Know’ show on Cap­it­al Xtra.

In 2019 he held his second sold out show at Cam­den Assembly, was part of a sold-out show at O2 Isling­ton and teared down the Mas­ter­mind x Super­malt stage at Not­ting Hill Car­ni­val. Dur­ing that time, he also dropped his break­through sum­mer anthem ‘Doing Alright’ which was playl­is­ted at Reprezent, Pulse 88 and The Beat FM. His pre­vi­ous singles includ­ing the party jam ‘Sexy’ have been cham­pioned by media such as High­s­n­obi­ety, GRM Daily, Linkup TV, SBTV and more.

South Lon­don­er Raj Forever has recently been cham­pioned by BBC Intro­du­cing, BBC Asi­an Net­work and BBC News­beat - who spoke to him about his cross cul­tur­al upbring­ing and the dis­crim­in­a­tion that some south Asi­an and Jamaic­an relationships/families encounter.
