Born in Lon­don, High­bury, Fat­tima Mahdi is a con­scious rap­per, spoken word artist and song­writer, whose lyr­ics are fuelled by power­ful social commentary.

Fresh off a European tour, with a Free­style Cypher award under her belt, she is quickly gain­ing recog­ni­tion for her art­form, catch­ing the atten­tion of Rhymesay­ers Enter­tain­ment — home to heavy­weights like Free­way, Sa-Roc and MF DOOM. She cur­rently resides in Malta but makes reg­u­lar trips to Lon­don, per­form­ing at ven­ues such as Chip Shop (Brix­ton), Grow (Hack­ney) and Shored­itch Ace Hotel.

Half Nigeri­an, half Somali­an, Fat­tima Mahdi proudly pays homage to her roots in her latest single “Mama” — a heart­felt ode to Africa. A taste of what to expect from her forth­com­ing pro­ject “HOME”, largely pro­duced by Gilkick­er Stu­di­os and fea­tur­ing a num­ber of upcom­ing musi­cians, such as the tal­en­ted Lon­don-based sing­er Face­Soul, Nigeria’s Rasta Bama, and guest pro­du­cers Shay Who (Niger­ia) and Gumz (South Africa).
