Detroit nat­ive Nick LaV­elle is mak­ing waves with his latest release,’ WiFi’, fea­tur­ing Jac­quees with pro­duc­tion by Light­sout & Curby and engin­eer­ing by Dre But­terz. The record is a lively fusion of reg­gae and Afro-dance rhythms. With ‘WiFi’, LaV­elle taps into a new genre, mark­ing it a standout moment in his career. “I wanted to tap into that reg­gae Afro-dance music while con­tinu­ing to make fun, happy, feel-good music,” says LaV­elle, who sees the song as an essen­tial piece in main­tain­ing the high-energy, high-vibra­tion style that’s becom­ing his sig­na­ture. Per­form­ing the track along­side Jac­quees on a recent tour has only deepened its impact on him.
