We Are Robots is a brand-new music festival that explores the future of technology and sound. Taking place at the Old Truman Brewery in East London, the festival hosts workshops on cutting-edge technology and features innovative and experiential sound installations. Running from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th November, We Are Robots brings a terrific line-up of musicians, sound artists, engineers and scientists to discuss and showcase their work in music innovation.

Visitors are treated to mind-blowing interactive spectacles, such as Alive in Technology, a captivating virtual reality installation in which participants can don VR headsets and perform and mix music. Other highlights include the Augmented Instruments Laboratory and Bela, which use audio and sensor processing to push the boundaries of what is possible for musicians, composers and instrument designers. Hackoustic present a wonderful “acoustic hacking workshop” which is a combination of Rube Goldberg machines and repurposed ordinary items to experiment with sound.

If you’re intrigued by futurism, live music and meeting a robot that makes rather strong tequila (seriously), then We Are Robots promises to fascinate and entertain.
