CLOUD X FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES SUMMER LINEUP INCLUDING GHETTS, SAM TOMPKINS, SKRAPZ, PRIYA RAGU, & MORE

The Cloud X label’s annu­al homegrown day fest­iv­al has anoth­er his­tor­ic year in store

London’s lead­ing inde­pend­ent fest­iv­al for R&B, Soul & Alt Rap is back in South London’s icon­ic Crys­tal Palace Bowl. Liv­ing up to its title as the “cap­it­al’s best boutique day fest­iv­al”, Cloud X Fest­iv­al has announced a stel­lar lineup for its hotly anti­cip­ated day of multi-genre tal­ent on 2nd August.

Split across two stages, the homegrown fest­iv­al from the Cloud X label offers live music & DJs includ­ing renowned Grime MC Ghetts; rising sing­er-song­writer Sam Tomp­kins; Lon­don soul artist Jaz Karis; UK rap king Skrapz;  sing­er & Fred Again col­lab­or­at­or Ber­wyn; Lon­don DJ roy­alty Izzy Bossy; and Funky House pion­eers Crazy Cousinz.

Self-styled as “for South Lon­don, By South Lon­don”, Cloud X Fest­iv­al was star­ted by two best friends Dav­id Dabieh and Ben Cross, who ran illeg­al raves in Brix­ton as teen­agers. The fest­iv­al car­ries on this same joy­ful, anarch­ic & youth­ful spir­it, with its com­mit­ment to inde­pend­ence and pro­gress­ive, gender-split lineups.

Cus­tom stage designs and merch will be provided by offi­cial fash­ion part­ner AGR Knit, who has worked with Asake, Maya Jama, Lewis Hamilton and more; char­ity part­ners include Raw Mater­i­al and Warchild; and pho­to­graphy comes from inde­pend­ent female-led agency Pay Your Shooter.

Foun­ded by exec­ut­ive pro­du­cer Dav­id Dabieh and cre­at­ive dir­ect­or Ben Cross, Cloud Xis an inter­na­tion­ally minded Lon­don-based record label. Their mis­sion is to show­case cul­tur­al pion­eers and under­rep­res­en­ted voices. Cloud X has inde­pend­ently amassed over 500 mil­lion streams from their record­ing stu­di­os in Brix­ton, with releases from Santino Le Saint, Kwaku Asante, 070 Shake, Lan­cey Foux, Beheard, Kasi­en, and A2 ++.

2024 marks four years of Cloud X Fest­iv­al, and to build even more anti­cip­a­tion there’ll be a pre-fest­iv­al invite-only warm up show on the Soho House White City roof ter­race on 12th July, with spe­cial guests to be announced.

Dabieh will also be exec­ut­ive pro­du­cing a Cloud X Fest­iv­al album involving artists on the lineup. The album camp will take place at Cloud X Insti­tute, the new three-story build­ing acquired by the enter­tain­ment com­pany to cre­ate a phys­ic­al space for record­ing, pho­to­graphy and co-working.

Cloud X Fest­iv­al is an inclus­ive, open air day cel­eb­ra­tion with live per­form­ances, art and mouth-water­ing inde­pend­ent world food. For the inde­pend­ent minded, past per­formers have included Dave, AJ Tracey, Lan­cey Foux, Knucks, Lola Young, Idris Elba, Bree Run­way, Sainte and Nadia Rose.

Pri­or to announ­cing the lineup, the Cloud X team released 500 Cloud X Com­munity tick­ets on Monday 29th April at 10am, which sold out in 4 hours.
