New Music: Shah Rule (@iamshahrule ) - Psycho (Feat. D'Evil)

Everyone has an inner psycho which needs to be unleashed! PSYCHO is Shah Rule’s latest offering which features Mumbai rapper D’Evil aka Dhaval Parab. Produced by Lasik Beats, an eerie vocal sample creates a bed, under which punchy 808 drums and a heavy baseline allows both Shah Rule and D’Evil to unravel their inner psychos. Shah Rule opens the track with a catchy and repetitive hook declaring ‘I’m just a psycho.. misunderstood I’m just like michael.. head in the clouds they call me eiffel’.

“The mind of psycho has no filters and boundaries. I don’t look at the word ‘psycho’ as someone with mental issues or anything of that nature. What I do feel is the society we live in generally asks of us to live and act obediently and to stay within a box or act a certain way. And someone who can’t stay within the box or is too outspoken is automatically labelled as ‘crazy’ or PSYCHO, which shouldn’t be the case. Our track and video has a lot of humour within it which I hope does bring a positive perspective to the Psycho theme and stereotype.” — Shah Rule

The music video is Directed and Edited by both Shah Rule & budding filmaker/editor Rohit Joshi, who is responsible for the incredible layers of VFX. The music video also features insane cameos from established rappers and producers from Mumbai’s Hip Hop scene including; DJ Blunt of the Dream Team, producer HHB from Slumgods, and battle rapper E.M.F.
