Event: @CharlieSloth ‘The Plug Tour’ Featuring some of the UK’s Hottest Grime & Rap Artists

 

image002Pro­du­cer, DJ and grime con­nois­seur Charlie Sloth is enter­ing an excit­ing new era in his career, with the release of his debut artist album The Plug, and to coin­cide with this mile­stone he announces The Plug UK Album tour powered by VK* com­ing this Septem­ber and Octo­ber to O2 Academy ven­ues in Leeds, Liv­er­pool, Leicester, Bournemouth, Bris­tol, Oxford, Shef­field, Birmingham’s O2 Insti­tuteO2 ABC Glas­gow and a massive night in the cap­it­al at London’s O2 For­um Kentish Town. Bring­ing Sloth’s trade­mark beats to 10 UK cit­ies, thisincred­ible live tour in col­lab­or­a­tion with stu­dent power­house VK, will fea­ture a line-up of some of the biggest names in UK rap includ­ing Yun­gen, Bug­zy MaloneFekky, Abra CadabraNot3s, K Koke plus some very spe­cial sur­prise guests.

The Plug is the latest chapter in Sloth’s jour­ney through sound that star­ted when he dis­covered NWA when he was a child, and this upcom­ing live tour across the UK will embody everything that this pion­eer­ing artist rep­res­ents. He said: This is the biggest UK Rap music has ever been! And I’m gonna bring some of the sick­est rap artists to a city near you.  If you’re about the cul­ture this is one show u don’t wanna miss”.

Obvi­ously best known for his work at BBC 1Xtra and Fire In The BoothCharlie Sloth has been pro­du­cing for over 10 years for every­one from old school icon Rod­ney P to ‘Of Course’ on Giggs’ most recent album The Land­lord. Hav­ing cemen­ted his repu­ta­tion as a DJ, Slothfeels that it’s the per­fect time for him to make the trans­ition to become an artist and pro­du­cer in his own rightThe Plug is the first set of ori­gin­al mater­i­al that Sloth has pro­duced, mas­ter­minded and co-writ­ten, and as a fig­ure­head of the scene, the album nat­ur­ally fea­tures some of his friends and a “who’s who” from the urb­an com­munity, with Bug­zy MaloneStormzy and Giggs stand­ing along­side break­ing tal­ent such as Aystar,Fredo and Lola Rae.
