Brixton legend Sneakbo has officially released his 2nd album 9 Lives, 2 years on from his debut album Brixton.
The whole album throughout shows his maturity as an artist where he blends rap, afrobeats and dancehall melodies to create his unique sound coupled with his trade-mark flow.
Opening on Highs & Lows with a skit from his son Lorenzo, it talks through his journey in life, as he describes how having a son has changed his life. It’s a blend of summer vibe tracks such as The Flyest ft. Br3nya and Oh La La ft. Dappy, tracks for the ladies including Hold You Down ft. Mr Eazi and Love Is A Gamble ft. Kida Kudz along with harder UK rap tracks such as I Used To ft. Stickz and Skrrrr ft. Fekky.
The album represents the Brixton rappers’ events which have taken place in his life and have made him who he is today as described by Sneakbo himself:
“I called the album ‘9 Lives’ because I’ve been through certain situations more than once that could have taken my life yet here I am”
The artwork is an embodiment of where Sneakbo’s position in the music industry currently. The black represents Sneakbo, portraying his image and transformation. Surrounded by several other cats, the image symbolises his status as the leader of the sound he created which has taken over the UK.
9 Lives is set to be UK Rap’s album of the year and will be heard across the airwaves, clubs and parties. It’s a slice of something for everyone from the beats, the bars, the flow and the powerful message.
