NEW MUSIC | POET INITIATIVE DROPS NEW TRACK ‘STRAWBERRIES & CREAM’

If there was ever a per­fect party track for the sum­mer, Straw­ber­ries & Cream is it! With smooth melod­ies, ener­get­ic drums and a catchy chor­us, the song is the per­fect blend for the sea­son.

Hip hop artist Poet Ini­ti­at­ive col­lab­or­ates with Reck­less Escapades for what is poten­tially the hot­test release right now. Between the two, they pro­duced, recor­ded and engin­eered the track them­selves, cre­at­ing a great intern­al team.

Both artists met each oth­er when per­form­ing at the online Asi­an fest­iv­al Joy Ruck­us Club, amongst many oth­er tal­en­ted Asi­an artists.

Ask­ing for Poet’s thoughts on the track, he states, “Straw­ber­ries & Cream is my proudest achieve­ment in music so far – it really encom­passes the dir­ec­tion I’ve been try­ing to go in and is hope­fully the start of more great music.”

It’s 2021, a new year with new ideas. Poet Ini­ti­at­ive has been work­ing hard, cre­at­ing new mater­i­al and net­work­ing with a range of dif­fer­ent con­nec­tions. Hav­ing been fea­tured as an artist on Joy Ruck­us Club 2 near the end of 2020 (amongst the likes of Eric Nam, Luna and Kid Trunks), the biggest online fest­iv­al for Asi­an-Amer­ic­ans, he looks to pro­gress on this and con­tin­ue on his jour­ney.
