After the glob­al, whirl­wind suc­cess of his ‘Salty Waterz’ albums, Aus­trali­an emcee Opti­mys­tic returns with a new EP. ‘Hip Hop Tem­pera­ment’ fea­tures a selec­tion of vet­ted artists includ­ing Sticky Fin­gaz, Cap­padonna, Kil­lah Priest, Kali Ranks, Compton Men­ace, Strictly D.T, Big Twins, JR, Jar­ren Benton, and MDMC.

Although only 6 tracks, the pro­ject is over­flow­ing with Opti­mys­tic’s sig­na­ture gritty lyr­i­cism aggress­ively delivered. His raw­ness is intens­i­fied by the hand-picked star-stud­ded cast. “Heart­less” ulti­mately sets the tone and theme of the EP. Take cov­er and run to pas­tors and rev­er­ends because Opti­mys­tic and his crew are aim­ing at clown rap­pers. They’re tak­ing them out one by one with bul­lets of steel bars and punch­lines.
