NEW LABEL FOUNDED BY FORMER MEMBER OF FOREIGN BEGGARS ‘4NCURRENCY (4NC¥)’

A new India based record label called 4NC¥ launched on Monday 20th July by Pavan Mukhi, a found­ing mem­ber of  For­eign Beg­gars.

4NC¥ is a glob­al plat­form and net­work, for under­ground musi­cians and visu­al artists. Ded­ic­ated to break­ing records from new tal­ent and seasoned artists alike, 4NC¥ focuses on the cross-pol­lin­a­tion of Indi­an and inter­na­tion­al artists through col­lab­or­at­ive pro­jects.

Weekly releases will fea­ture cur­ated art­work from both aspir­ing and well-known visu­al artists, help­ing to cre­ate an iden­tity that goes bey­ond the audio. The label’s releases will encom­pass a wealth of genres, includ­ing lo-fi, hip-hop, trap, grime, 160, jungle/drum & bass, and select­ive house, techno and future soul/r&b.

4NC¥ founder, Pavan Mukhi, is a found­ing mem­ber of the Lon­don based hip-hop/elec­tron­ic group For­eign Beg­gars, which dis­ban­ded in early 2020. Across almost 20 years of cre­at­ing and per­form­ing all over the world, the band released a wide vari­ety of music, and col­lab­or­ated with artists such as Skrillex, Nois­ia, Rag’N’Bone Man. They were also affil­i­ated with a num­ber of labels, includ­ing Deadmau5’s Mau5trap, Min­istry of Sound, Atlantic Records, Nev­er Say Die Records and many more. Through­out the years of heavy tour­ing & record­ing activ­it­ies, Pavan has seen the incep­tion of many new move­ments and is con­nec­ted with leagues of ground­break­ing tal­ent the world over.

                                    4NC¥’s first release, the Knoxxville EP by Hydera­bad pro­du­cer Yung.Raj, is due for release on 28th August 2020.
