SAUL WILLIAMS TOURS UK JUNE-JULY

THE ONLY CHANCE TO SEE THE
CELEBRATED MUSICIAN IN THE UK THIS YEAR IN:

LONDON | MANCHESTER | BRIGHTON | BRISTOL | BIRMINGHAM  NOTTINGHAM | OXFORD | LEEDS | NEWCASTLE | GLASGOW & MORE

After recently releasing new album MartyrLoserKing to critical acclaim, and selling out four previous UK dates earlier this year, American rapper & singer-songwriter, Saul Williams, embarks on a new UK tour this Summer.

Known for his blend of poetry and alternative hip-hop, Saul Williams sights Beyoncé, Fredo Santana, and Haitian field recordings as musical inspirations for his self-produced 6th album, straining trap hi-hats and mbira strokes together for a nuanced, entirely original sound.

Written and recorded between Senegal, Reunion Island, Paris, Haiti, and New Orleans and New York, and released via The Fader Records, MartyrLoserKing is a multimedia project that engages the digital dialogue between the 1st and 3rd Worlds, and the global street sounds that yoke the two. His new single’Think Like They Book Say’ has just been added to BBC Radio 6’s A‑list.

Williams has been breaking ground since his debut album, Amethyst Rock Star, was released in 2001 and executive produced by Rick Rubin. After gaining global fame for his poetry and writings at the turn of the century, Williams has performed in over 30 countries and read in over 300 universities, with invitations that have spanned from the White House, the Sydney Opera House, Lincoln Center, The Louvre, The Getty Center, Queen Elizabeth Hall, to countless, villages, townships, community centres, and prisons across the world.

With key support across the country for up & coming UK acts including Dizraeli // Oddissee & Good Compny // Joe Driscoll and CROOX, this show offers a unique opportunity to see a compelling artist at his peak.
