Hailing from the Netherlands, London based producer Ravy releases her latest production “DHOKHA” together with artists Maharani, known for her feature on MTV news, Tamil remixes and ARJUNA for his lyricism in Hindi.
DHOKHA is their own style of Hip Hop blended with Pop sounds and Indian instruments, serving a catchy and infectious blend that stands out immediately.
On DHOKHA ARJUNA raps about a romantic betrayal from a girlfriend, that is juxtaposed with Maharani’s verse from the perspective of the girlfriend rebutting his story, in an emotional back and forth and imaginative spin on a break-up song, delivered against a sleekly produced genre blending mesh.
Speaking about the track Ravy states,
Many songs of Bollywood and Desi Hip Hop/R&B is about love and all the positive sides of it, but ARJUNA came through with some real stuff which I felt like it should be highlighted as well. Love can be very bad when two are not meant to be together and that’s what we wanted to tell on a beat where Hip Hop, Pop and Indian instruments compliment each other.
