SPOKEN WORD | ‘CHAOS IS DUB’ IN MEMORY OF PRIYA ARORA

My latest spoken word piece “Chaos is Dub” is part of a col­lab­or­a­tion with Transylvani­an pro­du­cer and music cur­at­or Obeah, from his latest EP “Dub is Jazz”. The EP is a series of col­lab­or­a­tions with vocal­ists and musi­cians over new Dub rendi­tions of Obeah’s pre­vi­ous works.

The piece is ded­ic­ated to the memory of my friend Priya Arora, who passed away earli­er this year and is set in the after­math of a nuc­le­ar apo­ca­lypse. A God­dess recre­ates the uni­verse and guides a wan­der­er to either enlight­en­ment or a bet­ter life in the chaos of grief and the unpre­dict­ab­il­ity of the world.
