EVENT | PASS THE TORCH FOR TY LIVE AT THE JAZZ CAFE ON 17TH AUGUST 2021

Join us for a special event to celebrate the life of a true UK Hip Hop legend on what would have been his 49th Birthday.

This will be the first opportunity for friends, family and fans of Ty to come together to celebrate Ty’s life and legacy since his passing in 2020. Expect a night of love, laughter, and plenty of Ty classics with his full tour band led by UK Jazz sensation Richard Spaven, featuring guest vocalists Terri Walker, BREIS, Seanie Tee, TrueMendous, FRSHRZ and more.

Pass The Torch was founded by Ty as means to celebrate new and seasoned UK artists whose music he supported felt needed more exposure. The original event, held at The Jazz Café in January 2019, was a huge sell-out success that highlighted the demand to see the UK talent he showcased.

Returning in 2021 this tribute event has been organised by Chas WISDM alongside Jazz Re:Freshed, who collaborated with Ty on the original series of Pass The Torch Events.

+ A special Ty Tribute Visionbombing set from DJ Psykhamntus. Music on the night from Chris Bounce.

Exclusive Ty merchandise will be available on the night courtesy of Jazz Re:Freshed.

This event will be in aid of Pass The Torch, with all proceeds going to The Ben ‘Ty’ Chijioke Foundation.
