‘You Wouldn’t Understand’ serves as the perfect backdrop for those cold, wet winter days that are currently upon us, as Oliver reflects over the dusty but dulcet piano tones provided by longtime collaborator ‘Mello D’.
Taken from the forthcoming album entitled ‘Ugly’, Oliver had this to say when discussing his latest release.
“Sonically, I’ve been very experimental with the music I’ve put together for this album, however I wanted that one track in which I took it back to where I felt most at home with, and that’s a more 90’s inspired golden-age hip hop sound.
You wouldn’t understand my journey, my life, the same way in which I wouldn’t understand yours. I just let my thoughts flow with this one, as I wanted to reflect on how I’ve navigated through, and balanced the highs and lows of the forever changing circumstances that make up my life”.
With two visual releases already ‘Ugly’ and ‘Bangers’ (Out Now On GRM Daily)
