NEW MUSIC | DJ D‑ZINE RELEASES NEW ALBUM ‘REFLECTIONS’

“Reflec­tions” is a sol­id piece of Hip-Hop pro­duced by DJ D‑Zine with big kick drums, neck snap­ping snares, ele­ments of Lo-Fi, a dash of cine­mat­ic strings, and a tink­ling piano, and all of this held togeth­er with a dusty organ and a dis­tor­ted bass.

DJ D‑Zine is a West Lon­don (UK) based music pro­du­cer and DJ. D‑Zine makes music from, as he puts it “the Hip-Hop side of his brain” piecing togeth­er dif­fer­ent ele­ments like the days of old skool boom bap but with mod­ern ele­ments and his “good music is good music — no mat­ter the genre” man­tra, allows him to make music that he wants to listen to and enjoy that doesn’t have to sound like any­one else.

The final product often has a hint of an array of styles and enhances the image of DJ D‑Zine as an enthu­si­ast­ic music lov­er. His earli­er work as a solo per­former and record­ing artist with dif­fer­ent bands and vary­ing music­al genres as a front man, rap­per, DJ and turn­tab­list res­ul­ted in trips to Japan, Hong Kong, Aus­tralia, USA and across Europe, and also per­form­ances at Gla­ston­bury, Read­ing Fest­iv­al, Roskilde Fest­iv­al and more. And as a DJ with long stand­ing club res­id­en­cies, of over 10 years, and a Monday night radio show that has been run­ning for more than 13 years, his enjoy­ment of music is undeniable.

In 2019 he released the 11 track album, “Build­ing These Beats”, full of melod­ic, nos­tal­gic Hip-Hop styles. Now in 2020, DJ D‑Zine is set to release his fol­low up album, “Reflec­tions Of A Mood”, on 10.07.20. Once again this release is set to be a col­lec­tion of instru­ment­al tracks with an old skool Hip-Hop feel at its core but also a jour­ney through, and a mix­ing of, Boom Bap, Lo-Fi, R&B and more, with light moments, heavy hit­ting drums and some moody and cine­mat­ic elements.
