Rebel Diaz have had a tough couple of weeks dealing with the violent closure of the RDACBX, and then within days later the sad news of Chavez’s death. Chavez was an inspirational leader, an anti-imperialist, who understood the concept of international solidarity, he created a social development fund in the South Bronx which sponsored the work of the RDACBX and other organisations. Chavez was for the community, and the people.
Proving that Hip Hop never dies, Rebel Diaz and Agent Of Change channel their pain, rage and inspiration through their music, with the release of ‘Work Like Chavez’. ‘Work Like Chavez’ pays homage to the work of a true leader, and reminds us that his positive change and work must continue to live on.
“Yo Soy Hip-Hop!”
