If you haven’t had the pleasure of seeing I & Ideal Artist live, you’ve probably noticed his name on a hip hop poster somewhere in London. He gigs about in the UK hip hop scene so much. Well known for his raw and rebellious lyrical content, plus his element of performance. He is one of the Rebel Lions Of Creation (hip hop / reggae group). He has dropped new tracks that the I Am Hip Hop team are excited to hear about.
I catch up with him in this mini interview where his latest collaborative projects and tracks are discussed. Music is a tool to raise awareness, and Ideal’s music is a clear example. Enjoy the track and interview!
Q. You have dropped new tracks recently! Tell us about them, in particular your latest ones ‘Awaken’ & ‘Just Be You’?
I’ve recently released my free 9 track project ‘Inner Sense’. So far I’ve published 2 videos : ‘Awaken’ and ‘Just Be You’ from the project and I have a 3rd with Global Faction coming out in the new year. ‘Just be you’ is based on people being original and not following the crowd, ‘Awaken’ with Consensus was about people arising and opening their eyes from their day dream, to the bigger picture.
Q. Tell us a bit about who you’re collaborating with nowadays on your various tracks?
I’ve been working with various artist this past 6 months, for Inner Sense the artists featuring were U.S. artist Disl Automatic, U.K. artists Kropz, Eyesis Star, Consensus, Kiran Chahal, Golden Blue, Lion I Rok, and Raggo Zulu Rebel.
I am also currently working with other artists I have currently worked with on future projects which will all be announced in due time to.
