Cali­for­nia duo Grand Opus, Joc Schol­ar [Fresno, MC] and Cent­ric [Oak­land, Pro­du­cer], recon­nect to lift heads dur­ing one of our most sig­ni­fic­ant sea­sons. 2020 has brought a Pan­dem­ic, Wild­fires, Protests, Riots, Civil Unrest, Pres­id­en­tial Elec­tion and an out­cry from Black Amer­ica against a his­tory of sys­tem­ic racism and hatred. “The Sea­son” is their third album that ties it all togeth­er while bring­ing its own dis­tinct sound, as Cent­ric com­poses the score for Joc Schol­ar’s lyr­i­cism cre­at­ing anoth­er ‘opus’.
