NEW MUSIC | KANIVA ‘GOOD EVENING’

Kaniva has announced his brand new single, titled ’Good Evening’.

Continuing his 2020 success, this is Kaniva’s lead single ahead of his second EP out in August. He has already had a fierce start to the year when he kickstarted it with his highly anticipated first EP of 2020 which charted number 1 on the iTunes Hip-Hop album pre-order chart, further cementing his reputation as the talent to watch as he breaks out in the UK urban scene.

The release of his latest single ‘Good Evening’, premiered on DJ Semtex’s show on Capital Xtra (on Friday 29th May) following with a Complex première and kicking the release day off with: Kenny Allstar, Shayna Marie, Remi Burgz, DJ Semtex, Robert Bruce and Reprezent, Rinse, Westwide and Pulse 88 spins.

Hailing from South London, the multitalented rapper, songwriter and singer has been gaining momentum within the underground scene for some time now, with his hard-hitting punchlines and ‘tell it how it is’ attitude, but more notably for his ability to paint a vivid image with his storytelling issues with homelessness.

In 2013 he won Remel London’s ‘RateMePlz’ event, opened for French Montana, then went on to tour with Big Narstie early 2014 and opened for Snoop Dogg at ‘Musicalize’ later that year. Shortly after the ‘Musicalize’ performance he became homeless and produced an EP narrating his story in 2016.

Kaniva describes his sound as a blend of Grime and Rap, driven by a desire to bring the ‘authenticity’ back with such music that communicates a message of inspiration to share with others.
