‘Life of a King’ is the latest album to come from Afro pop artist Kingsmizzy. Exploring his Caribbean roots in relation to a hip hop style that he wanted to reimagine with positive imagery, ‘Life of a King’ inhabits a different sound-scape and shares a part of Kingsmizzy’s artistic journey.
Growing up in Montréal, Kingsmizzy was inspired to start writing and recording music after seeing his friends doing the same. Drawing influence from Afro-beat and hip hop, Kingsmizzy explores the different parts of his identity through music.
