‘Life of a King’ is the latest album to come from Afro pop artist Kings­mizzy. Explor­ing his Carib­bean roots in rela­tion to a hip hop style that he wanted to reima­gine with pos­it­ive imagery, ‘Life of a King’ inhab­its a dif­fer­ent sound-scape and shares a part of Kings­mizzy’s artist­ic journey.
 
Grow­ing up in Mon­tréal, Kings­mizzy was inspired to start writ­ing and record­ing music after see­ing his friends doing the same. Draw­ing influ­ence from Afro-beat and hip hop, Kings­mizzy explores the dif­fer­ent parts of his iden­tity through music.
