Kings of the golden age of rap The Phar­cyde and Souls Of Mis­chief have announced their return to the UK for a an excit­ing, whistlestop 3 date 30th Anniversary tour of the UK this Autumn – tak­ing in Lon­don O2 For­um Kentish Town on Fri­day 17th Octo­ber, Manchester O2 Ritz on Sat­urday 18th Octo­ber and Bris­tol O2 Academy on Sunday 19th 

The tour will cel­eb­rate the 30th Anniversary of hip hop trail­blazers The Pharcyde’s glob­ally cel­eb­rated second album Lab­cab­in­cali­for­nia’ and 32 years since Souls Of Mischief’s all time Hip hop clas­sic album ’93 ‘Til Infin­ity’.

Ori­gin­ally from South Cent­ral Los Angeles, The Phar­cyde formed in 1989 with ori­gin­al mem­bers Imani, Slimkid3, Fat­lip and Bootie Brown. The group signed to Deli­cious Vinyl and achieved inter­na­tion­al suc­cess and recog­ni­tion for their tracks Passin’ Me By’, ‘Drop’, ‘Ya Mama’ and ‘Run­nin’, as well as their first two albums, 1991 debut ‘Bizarre Ride II The Phar­cyde’ and ‘Lab­cab­in­cali­for­nia’ which was pro­duced by J Dilla, with both albums a sem­in­al staple of rap’s golden era. The group appeared on the Brand New Heav­ies rap col­lab­or­a­tion album ‘Heavy Rhyme Exper­i­ence vol.1’ out on Deli­cious Vinyl and toured with Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. The Phar­cyde released a fur­ther 2 albums ‘Plain Rap’ (2000) and ‘Hum­boldt Begin­nings’ (2004). Booty Brown left the group, which con­tin­ues to record col­lab­or­at­ively and solo. The Phar­cyde released 4 track EP ‘Time­less’ earli­er this year, released on RCA Records, with tracks fea­tur­ing 1999 Write The Future and pro­duced by Rick Rock and JPEG­Mafia. The group will tour the UK as a trio con­sist­ing of Imani, Slimkid3 and Fatlip.

Souls of Mis­chief are a Hip hop group from Oak­land, Cali­for­nia, the trio are also part of the rap col­lect­ive Hiero­glyph­ics. The Souls of Mis­chief was formed in 1991 by rap­pers A‑Plus, Phesto and Tajai. The trio released debut album ’93 ‘Til Infin­ity’ in 1993 on Jive Records to huge acclaim, with its all-time clas­sic track of the same name. The album was hailed one of the Top 100 Rap Albums by The Source and “the best single album to come out of Oak­land’s Hiero­glyph­ics camp” and that Souls of Mis­chief “com­pletely redefined the art of lyr­ic­al tech­nique for the West Coast”. The group released 5 more albums, ‘No Man’s Land’ (1995), ‘Focus’ (1998), ‘Tri­logy: Con­flict, Cli­max, Res­ol­u­tion’ (2000), ‘Montezuma’s Revenge’ (2009) and ‘There Is Only Now’ (2014).
