APPLE MUSIC ANNOUNCES “THE AGENDA LIVE: BACKROAD GEE”

Back­Road Gee wants you to ‘Fear Nut­tin’. The Lon­don MC is next up in Apple Music’s The Agenda Live  — a video series shin­ing a light on Black Brit­ish music’s most prodi­gious tal­ents. In this exclus­ive video he deliv­ers a blis­ter­ing per­form­ance of ‘Fear Nut­tin’, along­side hyp­not­ic visu­als from fast-rising Brit­ish-Nigeri­an dir­ect­or Femi Ladi. “Boys will be boys and men will be men,” Back­Road Gee declares. “But it’s up to you to sep­ar­ate the boys from men.”

Reflect­ing on Back­Road Gee’s unique tal­ents, Apple Music 1 host Dotty says: “Back­road Gee is a music­al anom­aly in the per­fect sense. His entire style defies con­ven­tion which makes him one of the most excit­ing new names in Black music. No mat­ter how many times you hear his voice com­ing through your speak­ers, it still stops you in your tracks and demands your atten­tion as though you’re listen­ing to him for the first time.”

Back­road Gee says: “With the The Agenda Live video and ‘Fear Nut­tin’ com­ing out, I’m just gassed because that song means a lot to me you know… it comes from a deep place. So, I just appre­ci­ate every­one that was work­ing on it with me, my team, Apple Music, everybody.”

Just 23-years-old, Back­Road Gee dropped his break­out hit ‘Party Pop­per’ last year, before going on to release his EP ‘Mukta vs. Mukta’ to a fever­ish recep­tion. Count­ing the likes of Burna Boy and JME not just as fans but also as col­lab­or­at­ors, Back­Road Gee has already worked with an impress­ive roll-call of acts, includ­ing Stef­flon Don, D Double E, Ghetts, Leth­al B, Naira Mar­ley and Pa Salieu.

The Agenda Live is a part­ner video series to The Agenda — a flag­ship Apple Music playl­ist rep­res­ent­ing the authen­t­ic voices of the UK and bey­ond, span­ning hip-hop, grime, R&B, Afrobeats and everything in between.
