1deepTrade­mark Blud the ener­get­ic and com­plex rap­per from the West Mid­lands has released the final volume of his series Tricks of the Trade.  With Trick­sta once again mix­ing and host­ing Tricks of the Trade volume 3 is cer­tainly a release that any self-respect­ing Hip Hop fan should be aware of.

With a diverse range of con­cepts, sounds and con­trib­ut­ors Trade­mark has really stretched the lim­its with his cre­ativ­ity and over­all approach to this final pro­ject in the tri­logy.  From the min­im­al­ist­ic and atmo­spher­ic sound of the track Square One to the super aggress­ive up tempo sound of Bio Trade­mark seems to move from genre to genre with ease whilst still keep­ing a mean­ing­ful and inform­at­ive dir­ec­tion at all times.  You can hear influ­ences from styles such as Boom­bap, Trap, Drill, Grime, Rnb, Exper­i­ment­al and Jazz.  Fea­tur­ing a whop­ping 18 Pro­du­cers and 13 rap­pers Trade­mark still finds space to dom­in­ate the release with the major­ity of the songs being solo.

Hav­ing already sparked the interest of BBC radio and hit­ting the Band­camp tag charts 2019 looks like a prom­ising year for the award win­ning rap­per.  This is a great fol­low up from his last release with Mic­all Parkn­sun ’The Invis­ible Man’ in which he spoke about the loc­a­tion bias in UK Hip Hop, this new release is an all-round show of verbal dom­in­ance, cre­ativ­ity, power and diversity solid­i­fy­ing Trade­marks place as one of the most well-roun­ded and lyr­ic­ally gif­ted emcees in the UK today.
