REVIEW | USHER ‘RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’ A CINEMATIC CONCERT EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER

We were lucky enough to attend a special press screening at Soho House yesterday for ‘USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’, and from the moment it began, I was swept up in a wave of nostalgia. Usher’s music has always defined moments in R&B history, and this film is a celebration of that legacy. From the smooth anthems of ‘Confessions’ to the infectious hooks of ‘My Way’ and early classics like ‘You Make Me Wanna…’, every song struck a familiar chord. I found myself singing and dancing along in my seat, and I wasn’t alone—the whole cinema felt like a live concert, as if we were right there with him on stage.

Just last week, ‘USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’ premiered at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York City. Usher was joined by the cast and crew, as well as friends and fans, all eager to witness this landmark moment in his career. Now, the film is making its way to cinemas worldwide, and it’s clear that this is much more than just a concert film…it’s a chance to relive Usher’s incredible journey through the world of R&B.

What stands out in ‘RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’ is Usher’s undeniable stage presence. He remains one of the kings of R&B, and this performance proves he hasn’t missed a step. His dance moves are as sharp as ever, his voice still effortlessly commanding, and his energy on stage is infectious. Backed by talented dancers, cutting-edge lighting, and never-before-seen costumes, the performance is visually stunning, bringing new life to his iconic hits.

This film isn’t just for longtime fans; it’s perfect for anyone who appreciates great music and electrifying performances. Whether you’re planning a date night, a girls’ night out, or even going solo, ‘USHER: RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’ is a perfect escape. The cinematic experience is so immersive, it’s like being at a live concert, you’ll feel the energy in the room, and before you know it, you’ll be singing and dancing along too.

That’s what makes this film so special: it turns an ordinary movie theater into a shared celebration of music and memories. For those who weren’t able to catch Usher live in Paris or at his Vegas residencies, this is the next best thing. It offers fans an up-close look at not just his performance, but the work, passion, and artistry that goes into making a show this unforgettable.

Usher is still at the top of his game, and ‘RENDEZVOUS IN PARIS’ is a testament to his lasting impact on R&B. Whether you’ve been a fan for years or you’re just discovering his music, this film is a must-see it’s a reminder of why Usher remains one of the most influential artists of our time.
