NEW MUSIC | YAHYA ‘MADE IT OUT OF PURGATORY’ EP

NYC’s very own YAHYA is break­ing free in his new EP titled ‘Made It Out Of Pur­gat­ory’ pro­duced by Ant­o­nio Lamar. The 5‑track pro­ject is a tell-all jour­ney and exper­i­ence of YAHY­A’s escape from destruct­ive cycles and pain that kept him from liv­ing his life.

 

 

YAHY­A’s sense of trans­par­ency and vul­ner­ab­il­ity through­out the EP is grip­ping. The altern­at­ive Hip Hop artist and musi­cian says this about the EP, “the EP speaks to learn­ing how to be your­self again after heal­ing your heart and heal­ing your per­spect­ives so that you can move for­ward in your bless­ings. It is also about com­ing to under­stand that to move for­ward, you must first be still, and with­in that still­ness, you can really slow the life around you right down, so you can see everything you were meant to attain from a cer­tain space. The EP tells my story of address­ing your life’s cycles, and shed­ding those destruct­ive beha­vi­ors and pat­terns by being hon­est with yourself”.
