A truly unique project, ‘For Her’ features songs from competition winners from across Nigeria. Organised by Accountability Lab Nigeria, the songs on this album cross the political spectrum and speak to female empowerment. Spanning hip hop and Afro beats, ‘For Her’ features some of Nigeria’s most exciting emerging artists such as Jezzay, Nanya Ijeh, Ejay, KEIZY SUGARH, Jovanni, Shona, JustED, Millar, Tidé and Delia. The artists involved in this project advocate for greater equality and demonstrate the motivating and community power of music.

Voice to Represent (Voice2Rep) is Nigeria’s flagship campaign to identify, support and connect young talented artists to increase civic awareness through music and advocate for greater accountability, equality and democracy in Nigeria. The project is supported by Luminate and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure young music artists are heard. Each artist on this album has identified an element of female struggle in their community and explores this theme through their music, asking for societal change in the most powerful way.
