Hip hop artist Poet Initiative is set to release his latest single ‘SOJU’, perfect for a range of moods.

‘SOJU’ presents itself as the ideal backing track for several occasions. Whether you’re hanging with friends, chilling or even at a party, this is the vibe that caters for all those occasions. Self-produced under his production moniker ‘It’s Poet’, this is the first track that features his newer production tag.

Being a UK-born Punjabi, Poet Initiative has gone beyond the barriers of stereotypes and combines his K‑Hip Hop influences and use of Korean language together to create a mix that has never been seen before. Collaborating with NINE, the two discovered each other through the Asian Creative Network, each bringing their unique styles to the track.

Having previously been blogged on I Am Hip Hop Magazine, Rap On Demand, Naver and other outlets, whilst also being played on a number of London-based radio stations, he looks to further increasing his span and maximise his fanbase. Although ‘SOJU’ brings a new sound to Poet, he feels the music would resonate with many.

Asking him for his thoughts on the track, he states, “SOJU is about fun, bringing the drink, friends and good energy together into one track. It’s me talking from within, about my experiences.”

It’s 2021, a new year with new ideas. Poet Initiative has been working hard, creating new material and networking with a range of different connections. Having been featured as an artist on Joy Ruckus Club 2 near the end of 2020 (amongst the likes of Eric Nam, Luna and Kid Trunks), the biggest online festival for Asian-Americans, he looks to progress on this and continue on his journey.
