NEW MUSIC | NORTH LONDON RAPPR KRILLZ RELEASES SUMMER HIT ‘BOUJEE’

Parlaphone’s newest addition, Krillz, a rapper hailing from North London, has just released his track ‘Boujee,’ which is generating significant buzz and has the potential to become a viral hit this summer.

At only 18 years old, Krillz has already made a notable impact with his previous releases. His track ‘Dubai,’ released in 2022, has amassed over 2 million organic streams, while his most popular song, ‘Top G,’ has garnered more than 7 million streams.

Raised in Islington, North London, Krillz represents one of the first generations of artists deeply involved in the drill scene from its early days. He has been listening to drill music since 2017, drawing inspiration from artists such as Headie One, RV, and 410. Krillz has a distinct way of conveying the sound of his music to his fans through visual cues. For instance, his choice of clothing in his videos serves as a hint about the mood of the song. If he wears yellow, it symbolizes a lively atmosphere, while red signifies an emotional track.

‘Boujee,’ his latest release, is poised to become the summer’s viral sensation. The official video, directed by DON PROD (known for works with Tion Wayne, Pa Salieu, and Nines), features energetic visuals and tells the story of Krillz being pursued by an eager woman attracted to his material possessions, with his friends standing by his side.

The track has already garnered 500k views on a separate social media account, indicating its growing popularity. With its warm, summer-inspired sound, characterized by brass horn production and high-energy verses, ‘Boujee’ is destined to dominate DJ sets and stages throughout the season.

Krillz, driven by a desire to inspire both himself and others, strives to create music that motivates individuals to change their circumstances, improve their lives, and better themselves. He refuses to confine himself to one particular sound, always seeking to evolve and explore new artistic territories.
