The homegrown executive from East London UK, channels his energy through his abilities to create, scout and drive talent across the nation. Niyah’s introduction to music began like most, from within the household. From a young age, Niyah has been a skilled pianist amongst other extra curricular skills such as professional tennis. Although music was never apart of the wider plan and considering he’d even made an initial attempt as an artist, it became something he’d grown to love. As time progressed, he made an impactive his decision to include music business into his studies throughout his college years. Not long after, the unimaginable occurred.. due to being at the wrong place at the wrong time, Niyah was incarcerated for 4 years. During his initial year away, Niyah decided that he wasn’t going to let his situation get the best of him. Instead, he took a leap of faith and made it his duty to become proficient in songwriting and sound engineering. In addition, he mastered the art of recording and finalising the recording process with post-production.
Considering Niyah had plenty of time to reflect, once he was released he had a new found ambition to become an artist manager in which he would form his own roster of talented artists and develop them along the way. Upon his return home, he connected with an old friend who resided in the same area going by the name of Stefflon Don. At the time, she was still an upcoming artist in the industry which is where Niyah knew he could use his experience to help elevate her career. He would end up helping her with Ad-hoc administrative tasks such as booking studio sessions, at the studio and organising photoshoots. Niyah also found an interest in events management and would launch a company to host events, specifically parties, ones that would be memorable. As a result, Rich House Entertainment became Niyah’s brainchild. The first of many events was extremely successful featuring appearances from the likes of Stefflon Don, Rara & Unknown T. There were other appearances from those on his management and consultancy roster such as Shauna Shadae, SNE and more.
Today, whilst still partaking is everything previously mentioned, Niyah is equally as active in the industry as he continues to manage talent as well as being an A&R Manager at 54 London, the Universal Music Group subsidiary label created by Stefflon Don. Niyah recently released his debut single alongside SNE titled “No Kickers”. The reminiscent record provides a nostalgic feeling for those who grew up in the UK especially in the City of London, highlighting the struggles of being able to afford the popular footwear brand predominantly worn by school kids throughout the two decades the 2000’s & 2010’s. This initial release is one of the many projects coming from Niyah over the next year. He has continued to develop his production skills and has plans to release an instrumental album very soon featuring collaborations from fellow producer Timothy Smart who has worked with the likes of Cat Burns & Javan.
