Written in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, ‘George Floyd’ is the latest single to come from AkaMicLarry. Telling the story of the tragic murder of George Floyd which sparked global Anti-Racist protests, ‘George Floyd’ sheds light on some of the racial injustices that are still experienced today, some of them relating to AkaMicLarry’s own experiences. The accompanying video provides thought provoking visuals, sharing the spotlight with fellow protesters.
Originally from Cali in Colombia, AkaMicLarry
emigrated to London with his family as a result of his father’s political activism. ‘George Floyd’ is the first single from AkaMicLarry’s upcoming album, ‘Black Lives Matter’, in which he tackles the issue of racism and police brutality.
