Lon­don-based emer­ging singer/rapper Skaiwa­ter debuts his first full-length mix­tape “Happy Hour” today along­side a music video for single “Emani” avail­able on all stream­ing plat­forms via Cine­mat­ic Music Group. The mix­tape is a year and a half in the mak­ing and inspired by acid trips, anti-depress­ants, and dis­so­ci­ation from real­ity. “As the pan­dem­ic came, I more and more felt the need to just make a pro­ject that dis­tracts from all of the shit going on,” states Skaiwa­ter.

Skaiwa­ter recently deb­uted the first single off the pro­ject, Work! feat Lil Keed, dropped a vir­tu­al per­form­ance video for Thrift Shop last week via You­tube, and calls Lil Nas X, a close friend, and col­lab­or­at­or. For the next single, Emani, Skaiwa­ter picked a dir­ect­or from his homet­own to cre­ate a more personal/intimate video relat­ing to the song lyr­ics. Skaiwa­ter will also release 11 art pieces and a total of 22 NFTs start­ing this Fri­day. Drop­ping one piece/day, these pieces will be avail­able for auc­tion and exclus­ive sales on WAX and Treas­ure­land. Check them out HERE.

“The video felt like a break from all the flashy and more intric­ate con­cepts my team and I had cre­ated for the oth­er singles we had put out last year.” The single is about his rela­tion­ship with a girl who he knew in 2020. “A prom­ise some people make when they come up is to bring up the people around you, but some­times a per­son isn’t cut to receive whatever help you’re will­ing to give them.”
