Below is a piece from ‘Diary Of A Muslim Nobody Volume 1’

Forgive us please.

Oh children of the wars we lead
Forgive us for the tears you bleed
Your childhoods taken away
Innocence gone astray
Forgive of our selfish greed
Oh children of the wars we lead
Our weapons that aim straight to your heart
Our disregard that tears your family apart
Our weapons of international destruction
Under the control of mass corruption
Forgive us innocent children
One day we shall plead
As we tell our murderous armies to recede
Even one life taken is to kill all humanity
When will we put an end to our own insanity?
Invasions of foreign lands
Financial sponsors of the underhand
Twisted morality where we turn a blind eye
Ignoring the pain & the tears you cry
Forgotten generations of stories untold
Our love & compassion left out in the cold how
long will we continue to stand by?
How long will we continue to watch you die?
There is no significance in your nationality
That justifies what seems to be our care disparity
It doesn’t really matter where you are from
Too late to help once your lives are gone
When will the world say enough to all the killing?
When will we demand a new beginning?
When will our leaders say with sincere authority
All life is deserving of equality?
Oh children of the wars we lead
Forgive us, forgive us please…
