INTRODUCING KEURGUI & THE WALIYAANE (@KEURGUIOFFICIEL) | HIP-HOP FROM SENEGAL

SENGAL

Keurgui & the Waliyaane band are seven artists from Senegal. On stage
they combine hard-core hip-hop with African rhythms while exploring new
sounds.

They are well known because of their political engagement and their
lyrics give voice to the youth in their country, by addressing social
and political issues. They are also founders of Y en a marre a
non-partisan movement recognized worldwide which seeks awareness and to
become surveillant of Senegal’s democracy.

After 20 years of musical career they are a reference in Africa but have
also performed worldwide, France, Spain, Germany, Morocco, Japan, USA …
