Listen to Fly Away

 Fly Away is the debut single from Xelav­ate, com­bin­ing his pro­duc­tion cre­ativ­ity togeth­er with his pas­sion for drum­ming, set to be released on 21st June 2019.  

On this debut track, he works with the tal­en­ted vocal­ist TAI, semi final­ist on ITV’s The Voice UK and urb­an artist Aaron Ander­son. Xelav­ate uses clev­er lyr­i­cism to speak loud about a gen­er­a­tion­al issue, push­ing your­self to move away from bad influ­ences and tak­ing advant­age of what life has to offer. To fur­ther push this mes­sage, Xelav­ate will also drop the accom­pa­ny­ing visu­als to You­Tube shortly after the release on the 21st June. 

   Fly Away lay­ers Hip Hop beats on top of Tai’s vel­vety vocal to cre­ate a multi-dimen­sion­al, elu­sive sound­scape. It is a hard-hit­ting, impact­ful track that leaves the listen­er feel­ing per­son­ally touched. 

 

Xelav­ate him­self explains “hav­ing first wrote the lyr­ics, I pro­duced Fly Away along­side the rel­ev­ance of the lyr­ics, inject­ing the cur­rent UK RnB vibe with a beat to feel it in your chest. It was a pleas­ure work­ing with TAI as her nat­ur­al RnB flare com­ple­men­ted the track per­fectly. Aaron’s cre­at­ive rap­ping flowed with ease and his lyr­ics delivered the vis­ion and flow I wanted.

 

Xelav­ate, also known under Alex­an­der Savva, hails from the UK where he has grown up sur­roun­ded by count­less music­al influ­ences. Rhythm is seem­ingly embed­ded into his bones; he first picked up drum sticks at the age of 5, work­ing tire­lessly since that day to improve his tal­ent. 

 Along with his own music, Xelav­ate shad­ows top pro­du­cers such as ‘iLL BLU’ (cred­its MoStack,ZieZie, Rak-Su) and pro­du­cer ‘TSB’ (cred­its JHUS, Dave, Stormzy). Xelav­ate was also awar­ded the oppor­tun­ity of pro­du­cing TAI’s first single Daddy Issues, set to be released on 14th June 2019.
