SKAN… 10 Days Hidden in Plain Sight is a dynamic mini-album that was released by SKANDOUZ, also known as SKAN…, who is one-third of the highly experienced Hip Hop Supergroup FRSHRZ. This mini-album focuses on the present time in 2023 and combines various styles of Hip Hop into a concise running time of 15 minutes, spread across 10 original songs. It offers fans a preview of what to expect in SKANDOUZ’s upcoming full-length release, FEARLESS Vol.2, scheduled to be launched at the end of October 2023 under Club FRSH / Believe.

The inspiration behind SKAN… 10 Days Hidden in Plain Sight draws from J Dilla’s classic album “Donuts,” as well as Brother Ali’s “Brother Minutester Vol.1” and Tierra Whack’s “Whack World.” These projects demonstrated the ability to pack an immense amount of creativity into a compact running time.

One of the tracks, “Happy Nuclear,” written on January 1, 2023, showcases SKANDOUZ’s focused, inspired, and driven style while also serving as a notice to the UK Hip Hop scene for the upcoming year. “B.A. Baracus” pays homage to the legendary leader of the A‑Team, incorporating punchline-laced flows over hard-hitting NKOK production.

“7 Stars in The Tokyo Dome” dives deep into the world of professional wrestling, showcasing SKANDOUZ’s lifetime of knowledge with passionate references delivered over Madlib production. “Cannon Fodder” serves as a tribute to one of SKANDOUZ’s Hip Hop heroes, Trugoy (Plug 2) from the legendary De La Soul, delivered over fantastic K9 London production.

“23 ‘Til Infinity” celebrates the 30th anniversary of Souls of Mischief’s original record “93 ‘Til Infinity,” as SKANDOUZ pays tribute and updates the classic for 2023. “Le Spark” promotes the release of the album “Beats So Fresh” by the amazing Le Spark, with SKANDOUZ lyrically expressing his admiration for a special lady in his life.

“King SKAN…” showcases SKANDOUZ’s fiercest and most hard-hitting lyrical skills over dark bass-heavy Drill production. “The Cost of Living” takes an honest and sobering look at the world we inhabit, highlighting its dark realities, but ultimately driven by hope and a desire to succeed.

“SKAN… Gets Jerseyfied” revamps a classic verse by SKANDOUZ over energetic Jersey production. Finally, “Summer Breeze” concludes the project by presenting forward-thinking contemporary flows, punchlines, and bars over Jersey production, leaving the listeners eagerly awaiting the next project.

SKAN… 10 Days Hidden in Plain Sight offers a solid 15-minute album that provides a glimpse into the versatility of SKANDOUZ, a virtuoso in his craft.
