Expos­ing the nas­ti­er side of the music industry in his new track ‘Ener­gies’, Cov­entry’s own rap­per Rob­bie RAPS sends a mes­sage out to those thriv­ing off of bad energy. Lyr­i­cially he dis­misses those who enjoy bring­ing people down for no reas­on, Rob­bie RAPS appeals to those who recog­nise his tal­ent and the hard work he has put in to get this far. ‘Ener­gies’ is a tri­umphant claim for the Cov­entry hip hop scene.
Since his debut in 2018, Rob­bie RAPS has been gain­ing trac­tion in the Cov­entry scene releas­ing a steady stream of singles includ­ing a col­lab­or­a­tion with Kwon Rab­bit. Last year Rob­bie RAPS achieved a per­son­al goal of per­form­ing to a crowd of over 2000 at Godiva fest­iv­al in Cov­entry. After get­ting the chance to meet and per­form for Hop­sin, Rob­bie RAPS’ sound has become more mature and crisp, achiev­ing the con­fid­ent sound we hear today.
‘Ener­gies’ is now out on all major plat­forms.
