NEW MUSIC | PRODIGIOUS UP AND COMER 5EB DROPS UPBEAT AND BOUNCY SUMMER BANGER ‘FOLLOW THE LEADER’

Truly one of London’s most excit­ing and tal­en­ted young rap­pers, 17 year old 5EB comes through with the first video since the release of his highly acclaimed debut EP ‘Hiberna­tion’. With this latest drop, 5EB is step­ping up his game to deliv­er one of the most bouncy and excit­ing sum­mer vibes of the year.

The single sees 5EB in his ele­ment with him singing and rap­ping over a trap/drill inspired beat with gritty 808s and infec­tious gui­tar, deliv­er­ing his trade­mark unique style which has seen him devel­op a strong and devout cult fan base — a true test­a­ment of his tal­ent. The track comes accom­pan­ied by a visu­al from emer­ging dir­ect­or and close friend Arch­ie Erskine which is due to première on Mix­tape Mad­ness.

Hav­ing only begun to take music ser­i­ously 2 years ago at the age of 15, his lead single ‘5UNNY’ quickly racked up half a mil­lion streams from the jump. 5EB has since gone on to col­lab­or­ate with the likes of One Acen on ‘Scum’ which received a big recep­tion from the UK rap scene, as well as fea­ture on Mix­tape Mad­ness’s ‘Next Up’ free­style series, and being named on Dummy Mag’s Top 10 Under 18s accord­ing to Oso Wavey Jay. 5EB has con­tin­ued to see com­par­is­ons to the likes of D‑Block Europe and Krept and Kon­an, with his music mak­ing him ever increas­ingly pro­lif­ic in London’s under­ground rap scene.

One of his most remark­able moments last year selling out his head­line show in 24 hours at the O2 academy Isling­ton. His per­form­ance was elec­tri­fy­ing and his per­form­ance was so big that his name quickly cir­cu­lated in the industry as one of London’s most excit­ing and sought-after emer­ging artists. The remark­able act was also soon fol­lowed by his CHILD­ISH EP which fea­tured top 40 artists, afore­men­tioned One Acen, Smith Blaxk and Dreadz. The mix­tape also went on to receive sup­port and acclaim from UK taste­m­akers Mis­ta­jam via BBC Radio 1xtra and plat­forms such as Kiss Fresh and Rep­res­ent Radio.

With this latest release, 5EB is push­ing the bound­ar­ies and con­tinu­ing down the path he’s become most known for — cre­at­ing excit­ing and ori­gin­al new sounds. His unmatch­able stage pres­ence and energy against his effort­less flow is the for­mula of a win­ner.
