NEW MUSIC | POET INITIATIVE DROPS VISUALS FOR ‘RED FLAGS’

Bars. Animé. Comparisons. UK. Punjabi. Korean.

UK-born hip hop artist Poet Initiative is looking to release his latest energetic single ‘RED FLAGS’.

‘RED FLAGS’ brings together a number of different styles that Poet Initiative sees as influences and is self-produced under his production moniker ‘It’s Poet’. Being a UK-born Punjabi, he uses his boom-bap and Korean Hip Hop influences to shape his music, creating an exciting blend within his tracks.

Asking him for his thoughts on the track, he states, “This track has more meaning to me than face value. It combines my interests, such as animé and Korean language, along with telling my story of how I was getting pushed behind others and not being taken seriously. I’m here to prove myself.”

With the video being shot in London, the use of transitions, cuts and shots provide real energy,

2020 has been a tough year, but it hasn’t stopped Poet Initiative working hard in the studio. He was featured on Joy Ruckus Club, the world’s biggest Asian American online music festival, and has created a catalogue of content to release over the next year.
