NEW MUSIC | HXNTZ DELIVERS A HEADY DOSE OF POSITIVITY ON DEBUT TRACK ‘UNDER PRESSURE’

West Lon­don based MC / pro­du­cer / song­writer HXNTZ (pro­nounced Hunts) is poised to announce a brand new release with the arrival of ‘Under Pres­sure’, lif­ted from the forth­com­ing debut EP due this sum­mer.

HXNTZ takes a page out of hiphop’s finest icons and adds his own inim­it­able style to the mix. ‘Under Pres­sure’ is beat-driv­en and inspir­ing in equal meas­ure, brim­ming with socially con­scious lyr­i­cism and deft pro­duc­tion. HXNTZ says: “Under Pres­sure is a state­ment single / EP, to let people know that I’m bring­ing some­thing dif­fer­ent to the game and that I’m here to stay! The inspir­a­tion behind the lyr­ics, comes from me telling my story and reflect­ing on past exper­i­ences, whilst giv­ing people an insight into some of the hard­ships and tri­umphs I’ve exper­i­enced. Through music I aim to inspire and motiv­ate oth­ers, whilst pro­mot­ing the mes­sage that it’s nev­er too late to fol­low your dreams, even when going against all the odds!”

HXNTZ is act­ively carving out a new lane for him­self in hip-hop with his ver­sat­ile and eclect­ic sound. His atmo­spher­ic sound­scape, smooth deliv­ery and hon­est lyr­i­cism gives his music a con­scious feel, with a futur­ist­ic upbeat vibe. Grow­ing up, the Londoner’s sound was heav­ily inspired by his Jamaic­an her­it­age and the UK under­ground music scene, incor­por­at­ing ele­ments of UK gar­age, grime and dance­hall into his work.

His pro­lif­ic work rate and pas­sion for music from an early age, has enabled HXNTZ to blaze a trail, not only in the UK music scene but also inter­na­tion­ally. In 2022 he per­formed live in the UAE at Dubai Expo, and already has keen curi­os­ity from a vari­ety of taste­m­akers includ­ing BBC 1Xtra & Jamz Super­nova. In April 2022, HXNTZ releases his debut single and EP entitled ‘Under Pres­sure’ with accom­pa­ny­ing visu­als from the renowned dir­ect­or Yukki (fea­tured as one of Com­plex Magazines UK music video dir­ect­ors set­ting new levels in 2021).
