NEW MUSIC | HODAGO RELEASES NEW VISUALS FOR ‘NO SLAVE’

UK music artist Hod­ago released the highly anti­cip­ated offi­cial music video for his debut single “No Slave”.
“No Slave” speaks to ideas around tyranny, revolu­tion, and iden­tity polit­ics. Writ­ing the song was deeply per­son­al for Hod­ago, who lives in Lon­don as a half white and half black immig­rant and spent his child­hood bat­tling racism and dis­crim­in­a­tion in a racially charged post-Apartheid South Africa.
So it’s only fit­ting that Hod­ago has chosen to release the offi­cial music video for “No Slave” on World Human Rights Day.
“The ‘No Slave’ music video is my intro­duc­tion into the world, the oppor­tun­ity to really show­case who I am and why I became an artist, This video is my truth and my trauma and fully expresses the struggles I’ve had grow­ing up in an extremely hos­tile and racially tense envir­on­ment. Mov­ing to the U.K. at 18 was my oppor­tun­ity to start a new life and redefine who I wanted to be. Today that per­son is Hod­ago.”
