Writ­ten in response to South Africa win­ning the 2020 Rugby World Cup, Swerve 2.0 is a col­lab­or­a­tion between Blaq Car­rie, Thabo and pro­du­cer Iced Out ShyneBlaq Car­rie had been work­ing with the beat for a while, and in a short three hour stu­dio ses­sion they were able to fin­ish the track. 
 
Born in Zim­b­ab­we but now based in Bris­bane, Blaq Car­rie’s energy for music comes after rejec­tion from drama school. Tak­ing that neg­at­iv­ity and driv­ing it into her music, Blaq Car­rie has had award win­ning singles (Queens­land Music Awards, Aus­trali­an Inde­pend­ent Award, Aus­trali­an Inde­pend­ent Music Video Award 2013). Also named as one of the 10 Buzzy Tal­ents (The Guard­i­an, 2013) Blaq Car­rie released ‘Lemme Ride’ in 2016 which got heavy radio play on Triple J Radio.
 
‘Swerve 2.0’ will be avail­able on all major plat­forms on the 3rd April.
