Imagine the British Empire…under water. A lost city like Atlantis. In the animation Asim C (Chabuddy G) is being drowned while simultaneously learning about his history that he was deprived of in school.
Many of us know Asim C as the actor and comedian from ‘People Just Do Nothing’ Chabuddy G, however his latest track ‘Brown Skin’ showcases his abilities as a hard-hitting rapper speaking the truth.
The track is accompanied by powerful animated visuals of a cartoon version of Asim drowning through all the issues of Britain, taking us on a journey from colonialism to the Southall riots. Asim C highlights the issues of racism, social injustices with his witty, intelligent lyricism, a refreshing, timely and much needed entry in the Hip-Hop world.
