Up and coming rap duo NoTwinz drop their debut track ‘Heard A Who’. Having recently just performed at the Moscow Lounge for Dirty Antics show, they have been keeping active and making a mark in the scene with their animated personalities and style. We catch up with this rising duo to find out more!

For those who have not heard of you, tell us a bit about The NoTwinz and how the duo formed?

We love making music and expressing through writing and the “duo” was formed after noticing we have writing/ear for music in common. NoTwinz makes music through creative brainstorming and fusing different styles, flows, punchlines etc. More than anything it’s the vibe and freedom we bring that makes up the NoTwinz.

How has social media help to play a role in your popularity?

The role social media has played in creating, audience expanding, overall driving more viewers has had a positive impact as it motivates NoTwinz to do better and work harder.

Tell us about your new track Heard A Who?

How did you come up with it? ‘Heard a Who’ was inspired by #weevepoppop . We used the challenge as inspiration for a chorus and wrote verses.

Who produced the track, and what came first – bears, bars or melody?

Track was produced by crashbeats & Mr Mix & Master miami. The melody came first.

Have you got a music video planned for this track? — Any dance challenges for us to expect?

Yes, we will be using the #weevepoppop challenge with a NoTwin spin. woh-woh!

You mention Immortal Technique as an influence, what impact has he had on the music you make?

Immortal Technique influenced NoTwinz to be descriptive and clever when writing rhymes.

Where have you performed recently, and what has the response been like?

In a lounge which was our first performance, the audience response was way better than we expected. I think they really enjoyed it.

What have you got coming up?

For the NoTwinz it’s photoshoots, new music, music video possible features and growing our production company.
