ELECTRIC DREAMS ONLINE | MUNKINATION WITH HALVCAST ON 16TH AUGUST 2020

What does it mean to have an identity? To truly be equal?

In this intimate live streamed concert specially curated for Electric Dreams Online, HALVCAST will take you on a journey deep into his mind and soul, openly sharing his experiences and thoughts on issues in relation to climate change, black lives matter and his upbringing post apartheid in South Africa.

Featuring special guests, exclusively unreleased material and never before heard trap-opera created in collaboration with the Royal Opera House this is a show not to be missed.

About the artist

HALVCAST is a musical enigma masterfully swaying between boundaries of rap and social anarchy. He addresses issues around racial and social inequality, identity and climate change and is best known by his signature golden munki mask, quirky stage persona and rhyme-dense lyrical style.

He first took the world by storm with the release of his debut single “NO SLAVE” in 2019 which was featured on Rinse FM, Pulse 88 and Reprezent Radio. In 2020 he released his debut mixtape “Munkination Vol.1” and won the 2019 Royal Opera House/GUAP Immersive Opera Award to develop an immersive trap-opera experience, based on a graphic novel he created when he was 15 years old. The project is centred around climate change, the sixth mass extinction and the future of humanity.

‘Munkination’ takes place virtually on August 16th at 7pm GMT. For tickets to click here
