Listen here

Release Date: 21st February

R&B infused with reggae, this laid back new single from Theo Mawali speaks to the hypocrisy he sees in everyday life. In an unusual move, he incorporated guitar samples from his father-in-law’s impromptu session into the track, Theo recalls
“this was what the track was missing”. The delicately strummed fragments of guitar gives the track the live dimension Theo set out to achieve. Theo Mawali is driven by the beat, and ‘We Walk’ was written to revolve around the backbeat, complemented by the prominent bass and emotive lyrics.

Jamaican born, now living in the UK, Theo Mawali has been crafting his sound over ten years, weaving his sound to sit between R&B, Reggae and Hip Hop. Since his first release in 2019, he has amassed over 130K streams on Spotify has has been featured in HBT Magazine and MTV Italy. Music originally began as an escape from the poverty and violence he witnessed in his younger life, and continues to be his guiding force through adulthood, feeding off of Hip Hop’s aspirational energy and forward drive.
