NEW MUSIC | RAPPER & PRODUCER RAVY HIGHLIGHTS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT AND GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN HER LATEST TRACK ‘ALL ABOUT’

Listen here: Ravy — All About

Hailing from the Netherlands, London based rapper and producer Ravy releases her latest empowering single “All About”.

“All About” is Ravy’s own style of Hip Hop blended with Indian sounds and percussion, serving a catchy and infectious blend that stands out immediately.

On “All About” Ravy raps about her struggles as a creative and how she is able to transform that into an energetic anthem about striving for your ambitions and leveling up into her unapologetic self even more. Taking it back to her roots, the track also resonates with Asian women across the Globe as she addresses themes of sisterhood, and female empowerment, with the aim to bring light to serious issues within the community.

In the “All About” video, Ravy depicts the diversity of Asian women in her music video, who are holding signs up with statements against gender-based violence. It’s clear that Ravy is here with a message and representing who she is and what she stands for.

Following the “Hush” and “Drip Drop”, it only seemed fair enough to drop another single, but this time produced by Dutch hit producer and longtime collaborator Shafique Roman.

Speaking about the track Ravy states,

“Being of Surinames origin, I have always found certain people within the Asian community find it taboo when I speak out about serious issues within the community. Despite this, I feel it is important for me to be a voice for many who have been forced to stay silent in a culture that has taught us that speaking out against issues such as domestic violence is dishonour. I want people from the culture, especially young girls to  be able to relate and feel empowered to bring a much needed change, and if I can do that through my music then i will despite the backlash or lack of support from the community I may face as a result.”
